Nese College of Nursing hosts community education series: 'Living with Dementia'

Through the Age-Friendly Care, PA initiative, the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing will again offer its “Living with Dementia” series to provide practical tools, realistic tips and community resources to assist caregivers. Registration is now open for the four-part series will take place in person on Tuesdays in Altoona and Wednesdays in Palmyra, beginning in late August, with an optional "Memory Café" for people living with dementia to enjoy activities in a safe, supervised environment.

University updates COVID protocols, resources

As it has from the beginning of the pandemic, Penn State will continue to follow CDC guidance on COVID-19, and university officials urge all members of the Penn State community to take recommended preventative steps to keep themselves and others healthy.

Black, Cutsforth-Huber and Zhu named 2023 Penn State Teaching Fellows

Pamela Black, professor of criminal justice at Penn State Hazleton; Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber, professor of music at Penn State Altoona; and Nan Zhu, associate professor of risk management at the Smeal College of Business, have received the Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and have been named 2023 Penn State Teaching Fellows.

Nursing Alumni Society celebrates successful alumni event held at Behrend campus

The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing Alumni Society Board, in collaboration with their Alumni Society and SNAP (Student Nurses Association of PA) at Penn State Behrend, invited Penn State nursing alumni and students to connect over delightful conversation, interactive games, and Berkey Creamery ice cream at Roche Hall this past summer.

The Office of Veterans Affairs and Services and the Office of Veterans Programs would like to invite student service members and veterans graduating this semester to participate in the University’s spring 2023 military honor cord ceremony on May 4 at University Park. This invitation is open to Penn State World Campus, Altoona, DuBois, Harrisburg and University Park graduates.
